P eriwound Dermatitis
Moist burning injury: wound exudate  
Skin damage is possible when wound secretions come into contact with the skin. Features include inflammation and erythema with or without abrasion. 

Interventions:
1. Assess the cause of the injury around the wound. If the wound has a lot of discharge, use an absorbent dressing. 
2. At each dressing change, clean the wound with a saline-based wound cleanser and dry the edges around the wound. 
3. Use a skin protector for the edges of the wound. 
4. Let it dry and then use again.
